I have lived the first half or so of my life in a completely self-centered, self intentioned direction. And while I have attained certain successes (a lovely home, my amazing wife, my equally amazing son) they have not brought about the contentment I so desire.

It made no sense to me initially- have I not followed the path I have been taught since birth? I have not rested on my laurels, I have worked hard and carved out my niche in the professional world, and have been compensated accordingly. I have pursued the love of a wonderful woman and have received her hand. What excuse do I have to feel as though I've somehow failed?

I am living the American dream, so to speak.

And yet there is this gnawing sensation within me that I've not reached my true potential- in fact, I've been doing all I can to avoid it.

I have centered my heading on personal goals and family goals, and have ignored all others. While I have watched from the sidelines and formed opinions and contemplated and internally debated, the world moves on without me. I heard once that good intentions pave certain roads, hmm..

So, how to develop all these intentions, this craving to accomplish greater things for my community, society, and all people must become my focus.

So here I am. It is well nigh impossible to walk along any street in America, and bump into people of like mind- people who want to make a difference. Most people are content to worry about themselves, to tend their own garden. Perhaps with the zaadz website, like minded people can come together on a common forum and find ways to make real change.
